Volunteering with Nevada County Citizens for Choice is a very rewarding (and fun!) experience. Board members and volunteers are critical to our success in advocacy and education. Our board members and volunteers have great passion for a woman’s right to choose and the ability for all people to have access to affordable reproductive care. Volunteers fulfill their desire to get involved and make a difference, while also serving the community.

A member of the board will be in touch to talk about your experience and your desire to be involved and what you feel you can bring/offer the organization, as well as to answer your questions.

- Passion for Citizens for Choice mission and vision
- Willingness to support with occasional community events on nights or weekends
- Comfort level with sharing the Citizens for Choice mission and vision with our community
- Skillset that can be offered to the board
- Sample volunteer activities: condom fairy, assist with community outreach, posting flyers, website/database update.
Board Member
- Previous board experience is a plus, but not necessary
- Leadership skills
- Collaborative, team player
- Ability to commit to monthly meetings, occasional community events on nights or weekends, and willingness to carry an expertise on the board team
- Passion for the Citizens for Choice mission and vision
- Comfort level with sharing the Citizens for Choice mission and vision with our community
